Steeple Hall at Mission Oak Grill is a private wedding and event venue in historic downtown Newburyport, Massachusetts. Located inside a beautifully renovated former church, Steeple Hall features cathedral ceilings, stained-glass details and 3,700 square feet of flexible event space.

Host up to 180 guests for an onsite ceremony and seated reception or up to 225 guests for a cocktail-style celebration. Every wedding includes private use of the second and third floors, onsite catering by Mission Oak Grill and assistance from our dedicated events team.

Your Ceremony and Reception in One Historic Venue

Host your ceremony and reception at Steeple Hall without requiring guests to travel between locations. The ballroom can be transformed following the ceremony while guests enjoy cocktail hour in Steeple Hall or at Mission Oak Grill for an additional fee.

Couples may also work with the City of Newburyport to reserve nearby Brown Square for an outdoor ceremony. Outdoor chair rental, setup and breakdown are the responsibility of the couple.

What’s Included

The Steeple Hall rental includes round or hardwood farm tables, Chiavari chairs, flatware, glassware and linens. Our team assists with client-provided décor placement before the celebration and décor breakdown afterward.

A dedicated Events Sales Director assists with venue-related planning, while a day-of coordinator helps manage the venue details, décor placement and breakdown.
